Privacy Policy

Effective March 17, 2026 · Last updated March 17, 2026

Spokane Christian Schools ("School," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit our websites, landing pages, forms, portals, mobile experiences, and other online or offline services that link to or reference this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy is intended to provide a clear national baseline for U.S. privacy compliance. Certain rights and disclosures may vary depending on your state, your relationship with the School, and whether the information is governed by laws such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA"), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), and other applicable federal or state laws.

This Privacy Policy does not replace notices that may be provided at the time of collection, in enrollment materials, in student handbooks, in employee privacy notices, or in separate terms governing specific programs or portals.

2

D. Sensitive information

Depending on context, we may collect information that may be considered sensitive under certain laws, such as government-issued identifiers, account credentials, precise scheduling details, financial information, student-related records, health-related accommodation information, religious affiliation voluntarily provided in connection with school mission fit, or other legally protected information. We collect and use such information only as reasonably necessary and as permitted by law.

3

How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to provide and operate our Services
  • to respond to inquiries and requests
  • to register you for tours, open houses, interviews, and events
  • to send confirmations, reminders, updates, and follow-up communications
  • to process applications, enrollment steps, tuition-related matters, and account administration
  • to personalize content and improve user experience
  • to maintain security, prevent fraud, and protect our rights
  • to comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
  • to conduct internal reporting, analytics, and service improvement
  • to communicate about academic programs, admissions, events, fundraising, community engagement, and other school-related opportunities, where permitted by law
  • to place outbound calls and send messages, including live calls, automated calls, prerecorded or artificial voice calls, AI-generated voice calls, text messages, and ringless voicemail or voicemail delivery, as described below and subject to applicable consent and opt-out rules
4

Calls, Text Messages, AI Voice, and Ringless Voicemail

If you provide us with a phone number, we may contact you at that number for school-related communications, subject to your consent choices and applicable law.

Depending on your interaction with us, these communications may include:

  • admissions or inquiry follow-up
  • event confirmations and reminders
  • campus visit scheduling
  • enrollment reminders
  • deadline notices
  • account or service notices
  • emergency or safety communications, where applicable
  • optional promotional or marketing messages, if you have consented where required

These communications may be made by:

  • school personnel
  • our service providers acting on our behalf
  • automated telephone dialing technology
  • prerecorded or artificial voice technology
  • AI-generated voice technology
  • ringless voicemail, voicemail drops, or direct-to-voicemail technology

We do not use these methods in all cases. Where law requires consent, we seek consent before sending covered communications. Consent is not a condition of purchase, donation, or enrollment.

Opt-out and revocation of consent

You may opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP. You may also revoke consent to receive calls or texts, including automated or prerecorded communications, by any reasonable method that clearly communicates your request, including contacting us using the information in the "Contact Us" section below.

We will honor opt-out and revocation requests as required by law. A request to stop one category of communication may, where legally required or operationally appropriate, be treated as a broader request to stop similar non-emergency automated communications to that number.

Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send non-marketing communications permitted by law, such as transactional, informational, safety, or legally required notices.

5

Consent Records

Where we rely on consent for communications or data practices, we may maintain records of:

  • the form or page where consent was collected
  • the date and time of consent
  • the wording presented at the time of consent
  • the phone number or email address provided
  • IP address or other submission metadata
  • subsequent preference changes or opt-out requests

We retain these records for compliance, audit, dispute-resolution, and business continuity purposes.

6

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • remember preferences
  • measure traffic and campaign performance
  • understand website engagement
  • improve design and functionality
  • support security and troubleshooting
  • deliver or measure advertising, where used

You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings. Some browsers also allow you to send a "Do Not Track" signal, but because there is not a uniform industry standard for recognizing such signals, our Services may not respond to them in every context.

We may use analytics tools and advertising technologies that collect browsing information over time and across websites or apps. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice and choices.

7

Student Records, FERPA, and Education Information

Certain student education records are governed by FERPA rather than by general consumer privacy laws. If information is maintained by the School as an education record under FERPA, your rights with respect to that information will be governed primarily by FERPA and School policies implementing FERPA.

Parents generally have FERPA rights regarding a student's education records until those rights transfer to the eligible student under applicable law.

This Privacy Policy does not limit any rights you may have under FERPA or other student privacy laws.

8

Children's Privacy

Our Services may be used by parents, guardians, adult students, and in some cases prospective or current students. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without providing any required notice and obtaining any required consent, unless an exception applies.

Where a service is offered to or used by children under 13 in an educational context, we may rely on the school-authorized educational framework or parental consent as permitted by applicable law. Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information inappropriately may contact us to request review or deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements.

9

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • service providers and contractors that help us host websites, manage forms, process payments, support admissions, send communications, provide analytics, store records, secure systems, and operate the Services
  • communications vendors that deliver calls, text messages, AI voice calls, voicemail drops, email, and related engagement tools on our behalf
  • affiliated schools, campuses, church organizations, foundations, or governing bodies, where applicable and consistent with law
  • professional advisors such as attorneys, auditors, insurers, and consultants
  • government authorities, courts, law enforcement, or regulators when required or permitted by law
  • parties involved in an actual or proposed merger, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction
  • other parties with your direction or consent

We do not sell or share your personal information. Your information is disclosed only to the categories of recipients listed above, solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Some privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly. If our use of advertising or analytics technologies falls within those definitions under applicable law, we will provide any required notices and rights.

10

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • provide services and communications
  • maintain admissions and enrollment records
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, accreditation, and regulatory obligations
  • resolve disputes
  • enforce agreements
  • maintain safety, audit, and compliance records

Retention periods may vary by data type, legal requirements, and operational need. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we will delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it as required by law.

11

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • know whether we process your personal information
  • access personal information we hold about you
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • request deletion of personal information
  • obtain a copy of certain personal information in a portable format
  • opt out of certain profiling, targeted advertising, sale, or sharing activities, where applicable
  • limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable
  • appeal a denial of a privacy request, where required by law
  • not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights

Some of these rights may not apply to information subject to FERPA, employment records, or other exemptions under applicable law.

To exercise available rights, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before processing your request.

13

State-Specific Disclosures

Residents of certain states may be entitled to additional disclosures or rights. Where required by law, we may provide supplemental state notices, including for California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws.

If you are a resident of a state that grants privacy rights not fully described here, you may contact us to request the state-specific notice applicable to your jurisdiction.

14

Text Message Program Disclosures

Where we offer an SMS or MMS messaging program:

  • message frequency may vary
  • message and data rates may apply
  • consent is not a condition of purchase or enrollment
  • reply STOP to opt out
  • reply HELP for help, where supported
  • wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

We may use third-party messaging platforms to operate these programs.

15

AI and Automated Communications

We may use automation, including AI-assisted tools, to support communications, scheduling, message routing, reminder calls, voicemail delivery, chat assistance, and related operational functions.

Where we use AI-generated voice or other automated communication technology, we do so for permitted school-related purposes and subject to applicable law, consent requirements, and opt-out rights. We do not use AI solely to make legally significant decisions about individuals unless permitted by law and appropriately disclosed.

16

Third-Party Links and Services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, maps, calendars, payment services, videos, or social media features. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before interacting with them.

17

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and take any additional steps required by law. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective means the updated Privacy Policy will apply, to the extent permitted by law.
